1961, Puerto Rico and Venezuela; 1963, Ireland and Germany- JFK was protected very well before the Texas trip: agents on/ near the rear of the limo, partial or full bubbletop, SAIC Behn or ASAIC Boring on the trips, motorcycles plenty and in proper formation, police AND/ OR military lining street and FACING crowd, underpasses guarded with no spectators allowed, fast speed of cars, press and photographers in a flatbed truck in FRONT of limo, good intelligence and response to local threats, etc. JFK didn't give a rat's behind if the top was on or off the limo---he rode with it on a fair amount of time and, in fact, seemed to prefer the PARTIAL top: just the front and rear on the car with the middle open for air and to periodically stand. His bad back would prevent him from seeing the agents on the rear of the limo and HE DIDN'T CARE- he never ordered them off! Blaine has messed up history by BLAMING THE VICTIM...my book, COMING OUT FALL 2013 WORLDWIDE, will crucify him and his "pals". A lot of the Amazon reviews for Blaine's book make me want to puke- many are obviously planted/ friendly reviews, too: from his home state, former agents, etc. Blaine during his book tour: "THERE WAS NOTHING THE SECRET SERVICE COULD HAVE DONE TO PREVENT THE ASSASSINATION"...and people like Chris Matthews bought it!

The first act of the U.S. Secret Service when they were g even supervision of the Treasury Guards was to outfit the men with new uniforms. A neat summer uniform of blue shirt with blue trousers and Sam Browne belt was taken the place of the blue, green, white, pink and other conflicting colors in shirts formerly worn by the guards. This picture was made as the guards paraded for officials of the Treasury today. 8/26/37

New uniform for U.S. Treasury guards. Washington, D.C., Aug. 26. Neat but not gaudy is the scheme of the new uniform of the U.S. Treasury guards. Blue shirt, blue uniform trousers with Sam Browne belt replaces the odd trousers and shirts of many colors formerly worn by the guards while on duty. A neat cap, patterned after the ones worn by the New York Coppers, tops off the new outfit. Furnishing the men with new standard uniforms is the first step taken by the U.S. Secret Service since they were given supervision of the guards. United States Secret Service gets new chief. Washington, D.C., Dec. 31. William H. Moran, retiring Chief of the United States Secret Service, congratulates his successor Frank J. Wilson, whose appointment was announced today at the Treasury. Morgenthau is in the center. Moran has spent 54 years in the Service and the last 19 as its Chief. Wilson, who has had a distinguished career in the government, has been Acting Assistant Chief of the Secrect Service since Sept. 8. Prior to that he was the "Ace" of the Intelligence Unit of the Internal Revenue, his greatest achievments being recorded in connection with the conviction of Al Capone for income tax evasions, and in connection with the kidnapping of the Lingbergh baby

Just completed in the sub-basement of the Treasury Building in Washington, D.C., the range has shielded lights and electrically operated targets, is sound proof and ventilated by a fan which removes gases almost instantly. Following President Roosevelt's suggestion at a recent press conference, White House employees from the President down were photographed and fingerprinted today by experts of the Department of Justice.
